ACCESS Shared Services Receives $15,000 Grant from Co-operators

ACCESS Shared Services is thrilled to announce that they received a $15,000 grant from Co-operators as part of their Co-operatives Development Program. This exciting news marks a significant milestone in their journey towards empowering social enterprise organizations, including co-ops, nonprofits, charities, and childcare centres across Canada and strengthening commitment to collaboration and shared resources.

Supporting Co-operatives:

ACCESS Shared Services is an emerging organization that provides shared services to social enterprises across Canada. The team firmly believes in the power of collaboration and its potential for fostering innovation and driving sustainable growth.

“By pooling resources and expertise, co-operatives, nonprofits and other social enterprises can overcome challenges and access cost-effective solutions that might otherwise be out of reach for individual organizations, said Corinne Remple, Project Lead, ACCESS.” Our shared services model encompasses a range of critical functions, including finance, human resources, IT, marketing, and more - developed to meet these valuable community-based organizations' unique needs.”

The Co-operators Co-operatives Development Program:

Co-operators is a renowned organization known for its commitment to fostering the growth and development of co-operatives across Canada.

“In Alberta, the Co-operatives Development Program provides financial support to co-operatives like ours, enabling us to enhance our services and expand our reach." stated Remple. “We are immensely grateful to the Co-operators for recognizing the value of shared services and investing in our vision.”

Expanding Opportunities:

The $15,000 grant from the Co-operators will directly and positively impact ACCESS Shared Services and the co-operatives, nonprofits and other social enterprises we support. The funds will enable ACCESS  to reach out and connect with its client base more effectively.

"Our client base faces uphill challenges to provide their services efficiently," continued Remple. "We believe the streamlined processes ACCESS offers will help reduce administrative burdens and provide even more tailored support to social enterprises, helping them thrive in today's challenging business landscape."

Expressing Gratitude:

The team appreciates Co-operators for their generosity and belief in the ACCESS mission. “Their support validates the importance of our mission and encourages us to continue expanding our services and making a lasting impact on the co-operative community,” said Remple. “ We would also like to acknowledge the Co-operators' ongoing commitment to promoting the co-operative business model and driving positive change through their support.”
